Hello guys, I am super hyped for the xmass box, I will get into the lizardmans with it. I started planning my first army. We will have a tournament of 1750 points in jan, so I thought I will try to contest with them. Here is the list I came up with. What is your advice about it? I want to extend the xmass box with a start collecting, some razordons, a slann and some more skinks. Allegiance: Seraphon Mortal Realm: Ghur Slann Starmaster (260) - General - Trait: Great Rememberer - Artefact: Gryph-feather Charm Saurus Astrolith Bearer (160) - Artefact: Incandescent Rectrices Skink Starpriest (80) 40 x Skinks (240) - Boltspitters & Star Bucklers 10 x Skinks (60) - Meteoric Javelins & Star Bucklers 10 x Skinks (60) - Meteoric Javelins & Star Bucklers 2 x Razordons (80) 6 x Ripperdactyl Riders (280) Bastiladon (280) Shadowstrike Starhost (180) Chronomantic Cogs (60) Total: 1740 / 1750 Extra Command Points: 1 Allies: 0 / 400 Wounds: 109 For summon I plan to have the oldblood on Carno, troglodon, some extra skinks, warriors, knights. Thanks in advance, Hij4cker
Looks awesome. Be patient about when to use your Ripperdactyles. Definitely make sure you get in a few practice games so you can get a good feel of what they are able to tackle.
I do have exp in AoS, but with an other army (LoN). Ofc I should practice before, but on paper they looked solid vs anything with low save, but they really lack some rend. So probably shouldn't fly onto an enemy hero with +3 save and 14 wounds. If I am too patient, the enemy can run away from the toad tho
Yep. If turn one round one lines up then you can alpha strike some pretty scary things off the board. I find that waiting till turn two is often worth it though. Normally when I alpha strike turn one I always kill my targets. I then promptly get collapsed on and lose the Rippers. Which is not to say they didn't do their job. However, when I wait till turn two after my opponent is more spread I can normally just keep snowballing through the backlines with the Rippers all game. You really only need the bloat toad to kill big things. 6 Rippers will chew up most backfield battleline options. I hope you enjoy Seraphon. Welcome to an army that moves more than 4"
