Allegiance: Order Leaders Celestial Hurricanum With Celestial Battlemage(320) - Artefact: Phoenix Stone Skink Priest (100) - Priestly Trappings Saurus Eternity Warden (140) Saurus Sunblood (120) - Artefact: Relic Blade Skink Chief (60) - General - Golden Sickle & Blowpipe - Trait: Reckless Battleline 5 x Saurus Guard (100) - Seraphon Battleline 10 x Saurus Guard (200) - Seraphon Battleline 10 x Saurus Guard (200) - Seraphon Battleline 10 x Skinks (80) - Boltspitters & Star Bucklers 10 x Skinks (80) - Boltspitters & Star Bucklers 10 x Skinks (80) - Boltspitters & Star Bucklers Units 3 x Ripperdactyl Riders (140) Behemoths Bastiladon (300) Battalions Eternal Starhost (80) Total: 2000/2000 That list worked pretty well, the skink chief and the Hurricanum allowed the Bastilladon to hit on 2's. But even then it's hard to swallow the 300 points for the Bastilladon when you're counting on that 2d6 roll. This is the list I want to build up to: Allegiance: Order Leaders Luminark Of Hysh With White Battlemage (240) - Artefact: Phoenix Stone Skink Priest (100) - Priestly Trappings Saurus Eternity Warden (140) - Artefact: Phoenix Stone Saurus Sunblood (120) - General - Trait: Reckless - Artefact: Relic Blade Archmage (120) Battleline 5 x Saurus Guard (100) - Seraphon Battleline 10 x Saurus Guard (200) - Seraphon Battleline 10 x Saurus Guard (200) - Seraphon Battleline 10 x Skinks (80) - Boltspitters & Star Bucklers 10 x Skinks (80) - Boltspitters & Star Bucklers 10 x Skinks (80) - Boltspitters & Star Bucklers Units 6 x Ripperdactyl Riders (280) 1 x Salamanders (60) Battalions Eternal Starhost (80) Shadowstrike Starhost (120) Total: 2000/2000 The goal is to have the two 6+ ward save bubbles from the Luminark and the Archmage to help survive mortal wounds. Adrian the Luminark still puts out a good amount of damage, and has better range than the Bastilladon and Hurricanum and costs quite a bit less. That allows me to pick up the shadowstrike battalion and add 3 Ripperdactyls to drop down and blow up a priority target like skyfires or bloodletters. The only part of the list I'm not in love with is the Salamander, but I don't have anything other than Skinks to justify taking a skink chief. And I wouldn't make him the General because the Sunblood's command ability benefits more of the army. What else could fill that 60 point slot that would synergize well with the army? Or is the Salamander a worthy addition with the rend -2?

Oh man, thats a great list too. I'm going to have to give that a few tries as well. I really like that about AoS, no list feels like the answer to everything. Would you consider reckless over master of defense on the chief? I feel like the ward save part is covered and the reroll for runs and charges has come in handy in the past.
Thank you very much! One thing I love about our army is how wide open the range is for different colors of skin, scales, etc. We're not limited to metal armor all over. It's always a pleasure to see everyone's lizard colors.
