I like being able to double try for the beam in my magic phase. Forces them to think about their dice. Also, I don't have more warmachine hunters painted. I only have 3 Rippers. I could add salamanders or razordons.
You could try to upgrade a Scar-Veteran to a Saurus Oldblood, gives you a General with some extra gear. Then try to get a Skink Priest in with Lore of Heavens. The Signature Heavens spell is very nice to mitigate Warmachine damage.
