Looking forward to getting your opinions on this list: Teheloqtec - Allegiance: Seraphon Leaders Saurus Sunblood (120) - Artefact : Coronal Shield Saurus Oldblood on Carnosaur (280) - Artefact : Blade of Realities Slann Starmaster (260) - General - Command Trait : Vast Intellect - Artefact : Incandescent Rectrices Skink Starpriest (80) Saurus Scar-Veteran on Cold One (100) Skink Priest (80) - Priestly Trappings Units 10 x Saurus Warriors (100) -Clubs 10 x Saurus Warriors (100) -Clubs 10 x Saurus Warriors (100) -Clubs 5 x Chameleon Skinks (120) 5 x Chameleon Skinks (120) 3 x Ripperdactyl Riders (140) Battalions Fangs of Sotek (100) Sunclaw Starhost (130) Shadowstrike Starhost (170) Total: 2000/ 2000 Points Leaders: 6/6 Battlelines: 3 (3+) Behemoths: 1/4 Artillery: 0/4 I like the list overall, but I'm thinking that 400/2000 pts towards battalions might be a bit much, thoughts?
Paying for the sunclaw for 3 x 10 warriors is a total waste in my opinion ! Been playing Sunclaw a lot and I strongly suggest you to change either the plan or the unit sizes !
Tbh, I wouldnt take the shadowstrike, it turns a onedrop list into a two drop list (youve to drop the priest on the board), and against other metabattilions that could be a big disadvantage. Other than that I think the sunclaw works best with larger units of saurus, 30+ at least, in units of 10 they just dont output enough damage to really make use of the benefits of the battalion, and at the price of them now you'd want to be making the most of it. Also, whats the purpose of the skink priest? I assume you want to buff something but what? Are you planning on teleporting one of your units? Which one? It wont be the saurus because a 10man unit wont do that much damage. I think you're spending a lot of points on buffing things and not enough points on taking something that will make the most use of these points. I think in any sunclaw you need a unit of 30/40 saurus as your primary damage dealer, then you buff them up. Otherwise you have a 10man unit with a ton of buffs that your opponent just focuses down. I posted a Fangs list not too long ago with what I consider the essential core of any fangs list: Slann Oldblood on Carno Sunblood 30 warriors 10 warriors 10 warriors sunclaw Fangs Then I threw in two bastillodons but you can put in whatever you want to fill up the points.
Thought of going more aggressive with a hunting party: Teheloqtec - Allegiance: Seraphon Leaders Saurus Sunblood (120) Slann Starmaster (260) - General - Artefact : Incandescent Rectrices Saurus Oldblood on Carnosaur (280) - Artefact : Blade of Realities Saurus Scar-Veteran on Carnosaur (240) - Warblade Saurus Scar-Veteran on Cold One (100) Units 30 x Saurus Warriors (300) -Clubs 10 x Saurus Warriors (100) -Clubs 10 x Saurus Warriors (100) -Clubs 5 x Chameleon Skinks (120) 5 x Chameleon Skinks (120) Battalions Fangs of Sotek (100) Sunclaw Starhost (130) Total: 1970/ 2000 Points A bastiladon (or 2) would be great on this list but I don't have any. I do have a stegadon though. I'm also considering trading vast intellect for great rememberer, as tempting as the two spells are repositioning both carnos in the same turn feels too cheesy to pass up.
