Hello, my scaly friends! Found these on my travels into the fantastic world of alternative miniature models and it immediately made me think of Razordons. https://mierce-miniatures.com/index.php?act=pro&pre=mrm_dkl_kth_sav_bst_600_000 They are a bit bigger, I think, but otherwise pretty similar sized to the current GW models. Also a bit pricier. Any thoughts?
Nice find, @Caprasauridae ! I think these could work for either razordons or salamanders. They do look closer to a razordon though. The models are resin, but the prices are close. The pack of 3 is approx. $79 US or $33 US individually. Here is an image of the 3-D models. The company also has a mini that looks similar to a dimetrodon/salamander, but it is quite large (100mm base).
No saddle... let them stand on those lizards like on the worms in this old dune movie... one hand on the reigns and one holding a spear or swinging bolas... a bit of a surfing pose...
Sorry to hijack the specific recommendation with a question, but have any of you seen this D&D model? It's called "Redspawn Firebelcher " but I've no idea what size it really is. Looking at it, it would make a good substitute for either a Razordon or Salamander. Unless it's smaller than a blot toad
I am in the process of converting khorne hounds for that, as they are roughly 1/3 the price, and there are even plastic ones now (but I have the resin ones). With a bit of fur trimming, scale sculpting and spile adding, they should be good
im thinking about buying some of the spearback lizards this week but im wondering do they fit on the gw bases? their stance looks a little wide
Jeeze, everyone freaking out about how to get more Razordons. It's like you guys are obsessed with them
