Armiesproject. A name that is in all likelihood already known to those among you that dab into house rules and custom armies. Honestly, do you remember the good old days when the Empire and Bretonnia weren't the only human factions? When armies were still filled with historical flavour? And to you newcomers, who wouldn't want to explore those foreign lands often mentioned in the fluff but never actually represented by the rules?

All that and more has been offered by Mathias Eliasson for quite a while now. With the advent of AoS, however, he has tackled an even greater task by revamping 8th Ed, addressing the many faults it did have while taking inspiration from earlier editions. It is by all means not perfect, but it his ability to properly balance armies internally and externally coupled with his openness to criticism and responsiveness to fan-feedback make 9th Edition the definitive edition for me.

Any and all rules are found here and can be downloaded for free.
