Strewart had inquired about the army board that I have been using, so I took a quick picture of it prior to last night's game against the Demons. It was a tough game, since I did not do my usual army. No mage priest, no terradons, no temple guard, etc. Only one EotG (3000 point game). I ended up with a victory, thanks tin large part o my all new Skink Unit of Doom. 33 skinks, 4 kroxigors, one Stiki Wikkit skink chief. A unit now lovingly called... The SKINK TANK!!!! Way better then any old army display-board I've seen. What media did you use? In the demon game what was the "Stiki Wikkit" skink chief equiped with?
Glad you liked the board! I just used a 16x24 piece of masonite, coated with gesso and then painted with acrylic paints. There was nothing fancy on Stiki. Venom of FF and the Sun Staff, I think. He was the BSB, though! Obviously I made sure there was support for the unit. It was the static combat rez that did the trick. His 3 beasts of nurgle killed 9 skinks in one swipe, with the kroxigors doing almost nothing back. The SCR of that unit combined with a buddy unit made him lose the combat. Demonic instability did the rest! Yea Demonic instability!
Looks great, kinda makes me think something like that but magnetic would be cool. Then you could transport your army on it. Still very awesome.
I must enslave wappellious and force him to paint my army as well as make me an army board! HAHA. Looks awesome, very old school.
