Hey everyone - am after some assistance trying to determine what colours would likely be used (base, wash, highlight similar to back of box) for this particular Bastiladon scheme... the box only has the lighter version which im not the biggest fan of.

    Any assistance is greatly appreciated!

    Ok I will try,

    Shell
    Base, Incubi darkness
    Shade, Coelia greenshade
    Layer, Stegadon scale green
    Edge, Hellion green

    Skin
    Base, Loren green
    Shade, Anthonian camoshade
    Layer, Loren green
    Edge, Karak stone

Might not be exact but somewhere near.

I think if you email GW they´ll have no problem in answering the exact colours... unless they are not citadel :p:confused::joyful:

Thanks. I've got a few of those colours so might give it a bit of a test.

Never even thought of emailing GW. Will try that too!

They used incubi darkness, dark reaper and thunderhawk blue for scales and castellan green, nuln oil and underhive ash for the skin. Dunno how they painted red patterns but I used doombull brown, evil sunz scarlett and some orange paint - probably fire bright dragon, but it could have also been troll slayer orange.

So just an update for anyone else interested - this is the reply I got from GW.

"Whilst we don't have a guide on this one.
My best guess is it's a Castellan green Base, Followed by a Loren Forest Layer, Athonian Camo Shade Shade then an Orgyn Camo or Nurgling Green Highlight. The Shell looks to be Dark Reaper Base (2 thin coats) with a Drakenhof Nightshade or Nuln Oil Shade over the basecoat then using Thunderhawk Blue to Highlight, with Fenresian Blue as an extreme Highlight in places."

I think ill do a few tests on other models - the body skin I dont think will be too bad, but the shell I'll test the dark reaper and incubii darkness. Might also give the stegadon scale green a test too.

If you look at the Sunblood shield I did that was Incubi and stegadon green.

Wow, that's a really great response from them, instead of saying no guide, they at least gave you some direction.
