Hey Lustria, I have a EoTG model and I would love to convert it to a Celestial Hurricanum. Does anyone have any advice? To me the EoTG is pretty damn perfect as a converted Hurricanum. It looks like a Seraphon Version of a Hurricanum. My plan was to find out how similar they are in size and the base sizes, and then add Battlemage to the EoTG and remove the skinks with spears. I was going to use the Skink Alpha as representation of the Acolyte. -Does anyone know how the two compare in size? They appear to go on the same Round Base- 120mm -Has anyone ever done this before? -Do you think this would be acceptable for most games/tournaments? -Do you have any general tips? Thanks for any help or comments!
Planets and suns should be easy enough to make, the little comet/firball in the middle might need som additional caging, but shouldn't be too hard to build. See if you can find a little solar system toy or model to add to it and you're set. Sounds like it is going to be amazing! The hurricanum comes on a 50 by 100 mm square base, but that is the same as an engine of the gods used to have, so the round base conversion should work out perfectly.
That looks awesome. But it seems super high. I would think the top of the normal EoTG would be close to the Hurricanum's height. I might go for a simpler conversion. Great paint and conversion though. Thanks for sharing That whole link is full of goodness!
Yea you could probably get rid of the middle carriage bit to make it shorter. if you check the link, the model was for a Lizardmen themed empire list, so they where putting the emphasis on the empire bits. Ps. I wonder in the planetarium pedestal will fit on the Engine of the gods platform (without the ring).
Hmmm I think it will fit, I put the small planets on one of my steggys where you would normally have the banners.
Looking at that and having a quick look in my bits box, I think I have everything for the centre section *2 I also have the Hurricanium kit which I'm building atm.
THAT is amazing. But the link isn't working for me, I am wondering what the background for this army is. An Imperial colony in the new world, with some lizardmen auxiliaries and beasts of burden maybe?
Small update: Ordered bitz from France... Going to take awhile. In the meantime I'm painting up my Stegadon transport. I've painted a lot of DnD models and 40k models, so this is my first attempt at a larger, monster model with a lot of skin. I still have one or two final highlights on the skin, and then the underbelly, horns and scales, but here is my initial progress (sorry for bad lighting....) :
