My friend and I tried it when it was launched. But it sucked so we stopped after a few days and played another MMO.
Describe "sucked" as I'm curious. I played from launch till close with one bout of non-plsy in there somewhere
Graphics, animations, quests being broken, localization was cringe worthy. Also the world was... well... Warhammer I guess. We were used to WoW and Guild Wars and later played Age of Conan, SWTOR and Guild Wars 2. Warhammer Online just didn't reach that level. Somebody interested in the world might have ignored a few of those shortcomings and I admit there were some good ideas in that game as well, but it just never clicked with us.
5 years. It had been in development for 2 before that. Ostensibly the shutdown occurred because the liscense expired, so I'm guessing they had a 7 yway contract with GW. I still have my collectors box with collectors orc warlord miniature. The Miniature is sealed in its blister pack.
