Well not everything died. A small number survived, such as nearly all the incarnates. They basically found a new world outside the real world and in the Warp parallel to the Realm of Chaos, split into eight realms with one per Lore of Magic, and wound up as gods there with their Incarnate powers, led by Sigmar. Then Nagash was a dick and Chaos found the new world and fucked everyone over. That's the short version, anyway.

But yeah, I can't wait for the Battletome either. I've already started a new thread on one of the new units that's in it, the Starpriest.

So with the release of the Thunderquake Starhost it looks like the Sunfire throwers is the winner after all lol. That and a Salamander i think will just wreck big units while the Trogladon and Bastilladon run around and snipe everything. I'll probably throw a Slann into the mix just to cast from the Trog too! I would use Kroak but i dont think it'd be fair for my opponent really.

I wouldn't say that the Thunderquake Starhost favours either of the Steggy weapons. It favours the shit out of the Bastiladon, granted ...

I only have the one steggy and don't want to buy another since mine isnt built yet i fugured i bulid him to fill the requirements for the battalion lol. I just got the Trogladon so i want to use him so bad figured it'd be the best way to break him in.

I use an Engine, Sunfire Throwers, and Bastiladon for my Thunderquake. I've not had the chance to fry a horde yet with the Sunfire Throwers, though I plan to soon, but the Bastiladon is hilariously broken with it. Auto-rerolls for saves means fuck the priest's 50% odds, plus healing? The laser-turtle regenerates faster than my enemy can hurt him.

Funniest part of it for me was when my opponent got a Keeper of Secrets with some rerolls to wail on my Basi for a bit, did one wound, and then the Basi healed three wounds and killed it with a blast from my Searing Beam.
Then for bonus points, I win initiative to get another turn in a row, targeted his best unit across the map, rolled a double six for the attack number, then killed the whole unit with one shot as I had rerolls to hit from my Astriloth and rerolls to wound thanks to the Battalion.
    Don't cry, Daemons.

Lmao wow. I would almsot feel guilty if that happened to me. Almost lol. Do you use Kroxis salamanders or razordon for that last part of the battalion im thinking salamanders all the way -2 rend and the extra mortal wounds at the end seems too nice.

Salamanders all the way, they're brutal. List of accomplishments my Slamanders have done.
    -Killed Archaon.
    -Killed Nagash.
    -Killed Half A Dozen Generals.
-Became The Thing That My Game Group Fears The Most In My Army Before The Battalion Happened.
It's not just the Rend that's nasty, it's the damage. D6 Damage is huuuuuuge, and with that Rend it makes Salamanders the perfect answer to any heavy infantry. Three Salamanders is perfect.

They fit any build really, apart from a Skink army (take Krox for that.) I play a specialised defensive army and I still use them, they're great for piercing heavy armour targets.

I wish I was as strong as you. I went through a phase of buying faster than I could paint and now a have too many unpainted models. And a severely depleted bank account that I'm still recovering from.

I have 80 warriors, 40 Guard, 30-45 skinks, a Slann, Kroak, a Carnosaur, an Engine, a Stegadon, a Bastiladon, 10 Chameleons, Oxyotl, 3 Salamanders, 9 Handlers, a converted Skink Priest (Starpriest now,) a Starseer, a small unit of 5 Cold Ones, and a Turtle Hydra which is a converted hydra that looks like a giant murder-turtle that I used for my 8th ed Priest to Transform into.

It's taken me years to get this many, I've been collecting since I was like 14 and I've been broke the whole time thanks to this.
