Imagine Chamelon Skinks attacking in the following scenario with the following 3 units: Chamelon Skinks - hit rolls of 6+ do 2 damage - base hit on 3+ Astrolith - may reroll failed hit rolls for any Seraphon within 10" Skink Chief - add 1 to all hit rolls for a Skink unit within 10" When rolling to hit: 1 is a miss 2 is a miss, "may" reroll to fish for a 5-6 double damage or modify by +1 to a hit of 3. 3-4 are hits 5-6 are double damage hits It's interesting that you "may" reroll (what would become a hit - because its currently a miss) a dice to possibly get more damage. All of this is because Rerolls come before Modifiers, so say the rules.
