2000pt Fluffy Skink List (Monster Tamers) Allegiance: Seraphon - Mortal Realm: Ghur LEADERS: Skink Starseer (200) - General - Command Trait : Master of Star Rituals - Artefact : Gryph-feather Charm Skink Starpriest (80) - Artefact : Light of Dracothion Engine of the Gods (220) UNITS: 40 x Skinks (240) - Boltspitters & Star Bucklers 20 x Skinks (120) - Boltspitters & Star Bucklers 10 x Skinks (60) - Boltspitters & Star Bucklers 3 x Kroxigor (160) - 1 x Moonhammers 10 x Chameleon Skinks (240) 6 x Terradon Riders (240) BEHEMOTHS: Stegadon (220) BATTALIONS: Shadowstrike Starhost (180) TOTAL: 1960/2000 EXTRA COMMAND POINTS: 1 WOUNDS: 139 This is a fluffy list I will be using for a narrative event set in Ghur. List are suppose to be themed as monster tamers/hunter. I thought about bringing some Bastiladons as they do count as skinks, but it doesn't sounds like other players would be able to deal with it. Razordons and Handlers also seemed fitting, but too good for what the game is suppose to be. I decided Terradon Riders, due to Bolas, felt more like the unit to bring for the campaign even though there is the mpp room for Ripperdactyls. The 40x and 20x unit of Skinks are in the Shadowstrike battalion. This is to gain as much out of movement phase mobility as possible. Thoughts and suggestions welcome!
With 40 extra MPP would you consider bringing an endless spell or a razordon/sally? Also, are there any concerns about getting the EotG to be effective w/o a slann on the field? Or is it just there for fluff purposes?
I have considered taking a BwV or Skink Handlers. The Handlers feel fluffy even if there is no use for them The Skink Starseer will be able to help the EotGs a bit with Curse of Fate. EotG is also in the list for fluff purposes though. My head-cannon for the is that this is a contingency of skinks sent to Ghur to bring back new beast of war. They were not anticipating a fight with standing forces and now have to make due without their Slann or regulars.
I'd be very interested in reading a battle report on this. I've no experience with narrative play, outside seeing it used in some video battle reports.
