Hi, think I'll post here some of my models at various stages of painting. I'm fairly new to painting miniatures, but I like it a lot. Feedback welcome. Here are two almost complete Sauri (minor touches and metal highlights still to be done): an Oldblood on foot and a Sunblood conversion waiting for his shield.
I Believe you are referring to the gold hand from the converted Sunblood. I painted that part way too liberally becausae it was supposed to be covered by a shield. The skin for boh minis was painted from light to dark (Except for final highlights) with little (Sunblood) or no (Oldblood) shade.
Thank you! I don't like the official orange version, and wanted it to look aggressive, weird, dangerous and glass-cannonish. I applied this concept to the palette choice and painting style: strong transitions, crisp highlights. I still believe they looked at Crouzon syndrome (I'm a medical geneticist so I know something about the topic) when they designed the model face.
