Hero Forge custom minatures

Never have, this is the first I have heard of it. Interesting concept.

 

I saw a review on it yesterday,
basically it was a good idea, and he liked the custom models but,
the material weren't great, the durable material was too rough to paint decent,
and the detailed material was too fragile and broke on him several times.

 

That's a shame... but now since the idea is out there, it will only be a matter of time until someone perfects it.

 

Hopefully they get a better 3D printer.

 

Either they will or somebody else will come by and scoop up the idea with better tech.

 

I think they are currently going through shapeways as their middleman,
so perhaps you could get it made in metal instead If you can just buy the file.

 

... Thought I bump this a bit, they have a better plastic now and tons more custom parts.

 

I used it as a gift for a friend; not something I'd build an army around but good for special pieces now and then. Service was fine, arrived at projected delivery date. Haven't seen how it paints yet since I had it shipped directly to him.
