I love those big birds, they look so cool and rhe paint job is amazing! Have a couple Spider-Men!
Very nicely camouflaged @Crowsfoot , mine won't be camouflaged in the same way. I thought about mimicking the bases with swampy slimed green, but decided to for a colour scheme that better reflects their aggressive nature.
Perhaps these colours are the ones they wear when they're wanting to be seen and to look threatening.
And thank you @Caprasauridae haha! Ill put them somewhere safe
Those guys look like they would fit extremely well in a desert theme. Great job.
I was originally planning for desert bases, but went for a swampy texture in the end. Hope they look ok like this??
Also while technically not seraphon, here's another reptilian model I've been working on for my Bad Moonz Orks.
My Waaagh-Pache Mega Kopta!
I would say that would make a great engine of the gods!
Sure! I'll just slap some skinks on it, hey presto! Ant see anyone minding right guys? Haha
I think as long as you play "Ride of the Valkeries" when you field it all should go over smoothly!
An excellent suggestion, I'll see if I can squeeze him into my lizards next week
They look absolutely fantastic and still work extremely well with the swampy texture. A great looking unit; very well executed!
I like the chameleons!. And also the "giant terradon". Really cool.
Been a while since I've posted anything sorry, skunks are slowly being built so will have them to share soon!
For now though, I've been giving an old toy dinosaur a "make over", with the intent to re home him (let me know if your at all interested).
Maybe some more green stuff to make the horns and frill spikes actually pointy, also the claws/toenails.
But so far so good.
Cool segodon it will be wery intresting to see were you go whit it, I'm planning on useing toy dinosaurs in my army to so it will be nice to se were you go whit it.
Definitely interested to see what you can do with that guy!
I think that would look really good.
I'm currently finishing off my entry for Rikkards sculpting competition, but will crack on with this one again soon
Been pondering the idea of writing up some rules for mazdamundi in AoS, and making a huge stegadon for him.
I'm back here again with another small update! I've read up a bit more on the history of the "seraphon", and have decided to embrace the new celestial daemon theme a little more in my painting.
I pinky blank hate the colours and painting in the new book, I find it lairey and poorly thought out (just my opinion).
So I've decided to paint my lizards in a more traditional scheme like from the old worlds Lustrian jungles.
But, to make my skinks look more "magical" I've added some "starlight" to their scales, Auric Armour and Runefang Steel. love to hear your thoughts!
... hmmm if you wanted to tint the silver, you could add an thin layer of wash in the appropriate color.
I agree with @n810 maybe glaze the scales with a contrasting colour then rehighlight with runefang, they look really good so no great shakes if you leave them as is
