I'm at a crossroads for what else I should get. The way I normally play is really defensive with Saurus Guard, but to be honest I don't win very much. The second list is nice because Canosaurs look cool and the list has a lot more wounds in general, but I'm not sure if Kroak would be better. So far I have all the models in the above lists except for Kroak, Astrolith bearer, Balewind, Carnosaur, and the Knights. The Kroak list will probably be easier and cheaper for me to get for now (Only need to paint 3 more models), but I'm worried that it won't play as well. Any ideas or suggestions? In time I'll probably eventually get the models I need to be able to play both, but I don't want to buy more models only for me to not use them at all. Thanks!
Kroak is stronger for sure, Saurus Knights really aren't that impressive. In the first list, you would probably be better off with more Saurus Guard in one of the units, i.e. 15+5+5. I don't think the Stegadon adds a whole lot to the list - you don't really need the rend since you have Kroak with insane mortal wound output, and you don't really have any units that can make good use of the Skink Alpha after a teleport. Dropping the Stegadon and adding another 10 Guard leaves you 80 points which you could spend on another Skink Priest to make those save rerolls all that more likely. Good luck!
The Kroak list sounds like the way to go - if your motivation is to win more, I don't think knights are a good solution. They really need to be in a battalion to pack a punch. On the other hand, Kroak with +2 to casting rolls sounds like a fun way to ruin somebody's day.

Okay great thanks for the advice. I'll go for the Kroak list for now, and also look into getting more Guard for the battalion.
