Good morning all, I have a question about the activation of the spell cogs. Can I activate it so slow down time while I am within 9 inch of it with the Slann but after that use LoTaS but still having all the benefits of the spell? I could not find anything against it but I might have missed something.
You gain a spell slot by activating the Cogs. For that you have to be in range of course. After that you can teleport away and still retain that spell slot and the save bonus (for that one turn of course).
The cogs give you a choice between 2 options: gain a spell +2 to run & charge in both cases, you must be within 9" to activate the power you need. After you set the Cogs, you can move away from them... the effect will stay in place 'til the next turn, when only a nearby wizard will be able to set the cogs again.
Once I activated my own cogs with the slann, then l LoTaS him in range to the cogs of the opponent and activated that cogs too. Two addition spells for the slann, which was already on a vortex!
