Hello fellow lizards! I've played this list quiet a lot and it's working very well. The point is to spam spells and bound endless spells whit your +4 to cast kroak. You can wipe out almost anything whit the salamanders. If you want something that's hard to move, boom Basildon. Need bodys for objectives? Skins and more skinks. I’ve been playing a very similar, almost identical list except I made space for 2 lots of 5 guards so I have the option and keeping them in reserve in case I decide to teleport a slann somewhere. Super fun and you can get enough summoning points to bring on more skinks every turn
Mine is similar, but I took out the priest an some slamanders to get a Troglodon. It helps with the spells and summoning points, it is hard, and last but not least, you can use it as a lighting rod for kroak's spell. It is as fun as it sounds
I would swap Jaws for Balewind due to Kroak. Not only is the extra spell worthwhile (especially since you are giving him +1 to cast from Slann) but the range is also super important and very noticable from own experience. I dont think the Bastiladon is any good outside of Thunderlizard subfaction unfortunately. Even though it is somewhat durable, the damage output is just really bad when you cant shoot twice.
I agree with Grotpunter. A Magic-focused army doesn't get good use for a Bastiladon. Substitute it with a Troglodon. And also, the balewind is extrauseful
