Deep within the steaming Jungle lays the city of Tlaxtlan, the city of the moon. A beautiful yet overgrow city of gold and stone beauty, a place of knowledge and hidden in the morning mists but not the place for this story….yet. Our story takes place at one of the small gold pyramids outside of the main city deep in the swamps and mangroves. It has stood since before the great catastrophe its walls hewn from the core of the mountains nearby. Its spawning pools having given birth to some of the hardiest armies of the Lizardmen, soldiers that hunted greenskins with great zeal and many of its older leaders have the heads of those defeated in battle upon their belts. Many of the Lizardmen want no more then to travel under the great ocean and fight the goblins with the moons upon their shields that is an affront to the Old ones. Many others have been spawned blessed of Sotek and hunt the vile ratmen at every turn. The cities and pyramids of QuaHua have always stood as a bulwark and a bastion of immovable defense against all enemies from chaos demons to raiding dark elves; this is where our story begins…. As you look upon QuaHua the first thing you would notice is the sunlight bouncing off the gold pyramid reaching for the sky and atop the pyramid sits what seems like a bloated frog pulsing with energy sitting upon a throne of painted stone. Botl’Qu meditates on top of his pyramid a skink chieftain looking more like a small lizard given an adolescents form ran up the sides of the pyramid and started talking to his attendants, the skink priests whisper to him that a sizable force of humans from the empire had forced their way to the jungle. Botl’Qu summons his Scar veteran KorLot who seems as though a god gave the gift of human form to one of the largest alligators to walk the land and gave it sturdy scales and the mind of a merciless killer, Botl’Qu slowly turn his form black as night to face one of his champion and gives him one order to eradicate the humans before they can lay eyes upon the city he then croaks one and gives him his blessing for the coming battle. The ancient saurus nods and grabs his weapon and armor, calls out his standard bearer and walks out into the small barrio around the temple. He calls forth his small contingent of saurus warriors and tells them to arm with shield and spear while he goes to get the others. He strides through the city and many skinks come to him and ask if they may fight with him. He looks at each who comes to him and sees were they will fight in the battle to come and accepts each and every one and tells each how to arm themselves. He walks to the stables and calls to the saurus to mount the cold ones, the saurus respond will a resounding roar as they grab their weapons and run to their mounts. As KorLot returns to the main pyramid he sees that a small group of temple guard stands shoulder to shoulder with his saurus. He approaches the champion and asks permission to march in the company of the guardians. The champion agrees with a nod. He looks out upon his army of saurus natural born predators, skinks both wielding javelin and shield and, skinks with their blowguns ready to ambush the enemy, the cold one riders ready to roll over the foe, and the temple guard stiff as stone ready to receive orders. The time has come to complete the mission he was given.

He meets the imperial soldiers on a simple grassy field. The cold one rider’s line up to meet the empires knights. The skink skirmishers line up across from the cannon they got through the swamps and the skinks in battle lines form up to meet the skirmishing archers of the halberdiers. The temple guard with KorLotline up to meet the halberdiers head on while the saurus take formation across from some imperial great swords. The battle begins with the empire moving forward and the cannon blowing apart a few skinks. There is a wizard with the great swords KorLot realizes and wishes he was with his saurus to strike down the leader of these humans himself, but he is content to dispel all of his spells for now. As he looks to his left he sees the cold ones crash into the knights while his fighting skinks run to the archers. The skirmishing skinks run up to get in range of the cannon. He sees the skinks kill the archers to a man and he runs away the mighty saurus knows he won’t get beyond the tree line. So he calls to the skinks and has them hold position and they obey. Then he sees the saurus take the initiative and charge the great swords and sees that it is time and with a roar leads the temple guards into the face of the halberdiers. The skinks meanwhile see that the cold ones will keep the knights busy and so charge the flank of the halberdiers while their brethren make pin cushions out of the cannons crew. KorLot meanwhile hears a mighty roar and looks over to see the wizard’s corpse cooling under the feet of the saurus champion while the wizards’ great swords are cut down a handful at a time. He looks in front and sees a human waving a huge flag emboldening the others around him. KorLot wades through the humans shrugging off their blows as temple guard and skink cut down one human after the other. KorLot must only swing once to separate the head of the standard bearer from his shoulders. As the humans panic they are all cut down except for the knights who he lets go to warn of the jungles of Lustria, as he leaves the field with his soldiers who survived. He feels something soft on his feet, he looks down to see the flag of the human whose head hangs upon his belt. He picks up the flag and decides to take it to his master to see if he may discern anything from it.
