Great paint job for a great set of models! Are they fun to paint?

 

Great fun! I enjoyed every moment. And I really need to enlist for another set or two... now that I only have two of them left to paint...

 

Sounds like a plan... the only issue is that massive wait time. (I'm not a very patient Slann)

 

They look amazing! Brilliant colour scheme, you have done an incredible job here.

 

Oh yes, that's kind of a problem... but I still got some cold ones and guards to finish... and skunks, a stegadon, terrains... rippers... a lot of stuff to fill the time of waiting...

Thanks! Really tried to show off my best painting on this one... still room for improvement though...

 

Didn't manage to take proper pictures of the colosus today... leaves the opportunity to finish the base before showing him to you... but I played around with a single stormcast eternal I got with a magazine I got for free in the store end of last year... I call him Lord ambassador... as he might be the only stormcast model in my collection for some time... tried to give him appropriate colors for a sigmarine ambassador dealing with my seraphon/lizardmen...
I know it's no match to colossal pictures but I hope you like him...

It's basecoat only at the moment... well and the undercoat for the metals... took hold for the usual yellow... but that's the same in heraldic, anyway...

 

Here he is finally... didn't do the base cause today it was snowing and I wanted to take the pictures under better light conditions... Here we go!

Just some WIP of two new (ok... it's the third time I try to paint this priest model in a way I'm satisfied with... but it's the start of the third attempt...) side projects I started recently...
A saurus leader for a big block of warriors...

Though I'm grown up now, any tips, c&c or other kinds of help and inspiration are very much appreciated!

I like how you painted the feathers on that skink priest, and the blue face is a great color scheme contrast with the rest of the brown.

 

Poor priest... got shot from behind...

If someone could explain my unlogical and impractical habit to always finish the scales first, when painting this model(s), I would like to know...

 

Somehow it's going quite fast forward today... Here some more progress on the priest...


Will probably build a light box or something in the near future... need to enhance the quality of my pictures...
Next post will be the colors I used on the different parts of the model...
