OFFICIAL Woogity Interest Thread

*NEW UPDATE*
Woogity has started shipping models based on the below list, some names will be slightly re-ordered based on when they asked for a certain model (i.e. if they were early asking for one and late for another they will probably get one shipment to save on shipping and time and so be moved up in order on the latter list). I will attempt to keep track with who has already been contacted by woogity, I will not be tracking anything after that.

Sorry for the exceedingly long absence, I’m in the military and sometimes you just can’t say no to where and when your job takes you.

This is officially endorsed by Woogity, I will be managing the running lists and keeping track of everyone. Please continue to post if you want to modify/add/remove yourself from either list and I will keep track of everyone, the lists are done chronologically based on when I was able to see the post, if you posted in a different thread I'm sorry but Woogity himself will have to make the call to move you up. This is the most fair that I can be at this time.

@everyone else remember that even though this is endorsed by Woogity it is still not a promise to receive models, this is only to keep everyone informed on where they are in relation to the list, to ensure people that they are indeed being tracked, and to provide Woogity with an estimate of interest in his models. At the appropriate time in the future when/if he decides Woogity will contact each of you personally to finalize the details.

While I commend the enthusiasm, I don't think this thread was a good idea, especially (as you've already said) as it's pending Woogity's approval, it does seem like jumping the gun by quite a margin.

The exact same goes for pre-empting discussions on kickstarters, you need to look at this first Kroxigor thread, where he actually says he's tied down with his NDA contract with work, which means he can't open his own casting company, or do things like kickstarter without violating his work contract..

If he had said he needed help, or had no idea how to go about it, then yes it would have been.

 

I'm familiar with his NDA issue at work, but as he has once again posted a new model with the same intent as before, and as I was able to receive the previous models as well I believe this thread is in keeping with what is prudent at this time. I'm not advocating or helping with any monetary collection and am actually only compiling what has already been posted.

This as stated is not a promise of getting models, it is only to alleviate everyone's concern on whether they are on an actual list and save Woogity the time of going through all the posts to see who is actually interested in having a model, as well as to provide a count of how much interest in each cast there currently is.

 

I can understand that, but as I said, pre-empting rather than waiting for him to feed back is the part which concerns the most.
Not really sure where the monetary part fits in with all this, as I didn't even mention finances or collections.

I really don't feel comfortable with this, it's turning into a land slide and you are taking things out of Woogity's hands by creating "pre-order" threads before he even agrees. I'm sure it takes him a lot of work to order the models, sort them out, post and so forth. In addition to his day time job that doesn't even accept him making money with his own IP.

I know I sound like a party-pooper, and trust me, I want more of those Colossi and the new Old One on Cold One as much as any of you. But I don't think it's right towards the author to make decisions like this against his will/without his approval.

Of course, if Woogity's gives his ok for this, then I'll back down AND ask to add my name to this list as well. It could be that Woogity has been struggling with keeping up the quantities needed and so forth, and appreciates this. But otherwise I'll propose locking this thread.

 

Well, lets just be clear about the intentions here: no one is intending to cause woogity any problems, or even annoyance. It seems to me that protector has clearly stated that its unofficial, and that (obviously) it all depends on woogity's approval. It might be merely the name 'pre order' that creates the problem, and I agree that it may not be very well chosen since woogity has not given his consent: it's basically a list of people interested IN CASE woogity approves. If he does not I am sure we can trust @protector to close the thread, as neither he nor anyone else wants woogity to suffer any disagreement because of this.

Yet i do get your point about things getting slightly out of hand and it seems like the kind of subject we could discuss endlessly except if woogity himself settles it... so its probably wiser to follow your advice, in case he's annoyed by all the hype… @protector what do you think, why not lock it until we hear from him indeed

 

Actually maybe we might just as well close the thread. @protector, you may if you want keep the list and give it to woogity if he asks you to, and if need be he will open a thread of his own… Might be the best option, what do you think?
