Hi! Im sure alot of you are tired of the "build my list" threads, haha! Hoping for some advice! I played some seraphon in the beginning of AoS. But i had a break and went back to 40k...anyhow...now im back... Playstyle wise...I do not really care for a favourite . I like most things. - I'm looking for a 1k list that would be good to start with. Got most models, so fire away! I dont want it to be skink Heavy and 1x Bastiladon has to be included please link a list you've used with success! - What are the winning units with all the new stuff? - Battalions and stuff for competitive play that i should know of? Any "winning combos" you've noticed when playing? - anything you veterans know that might help me towards my goal to become the Champion of my meta? greatly appriciated!
Side note...my meta is DIRTY. So no need to hold back here if you have any tip. Cheese is good in my AoS meta
Kroaknado for 2k. Still our best list IMO. Thunderquake (with teleport) might also work well, I think it placed high in at least one tournament. Best list to play your Basti with. Major changes for us with GHB2017 - almost everything got cheaper by 20 points or more - horde bonus makes Skinks even cheaper but also helps Saurus lists - we have great allegiance abilities and some nice artefacts now - Slann are worth it now since they profit from allegiamce abilities and command traits - we can ally with Stormcast Eternals What armies are you facing most? That might help in choosing a list.
Can you show an example of a Kroaknado 2k list, and thunderquake? Or link me somewhere i can find it? I play alot of different people. Elite armies, horde and so on. So no big help for you There mate I got som SCE units...how would you ally them with seraphon?
I am not a tournament player. But here are two lists for inspiration. The first one is a Kroaknado Variant. Perhaps not the best but to show you how it could look like. Allegiance: Seraphon Leaders Skink Priest (80) - Priestly Trappings Skink Starpriest (80) Lord Kroak (450) - General Saurus Astrolith Bearer (160) Saurus Eternity Warden (140) Battleline 40 x Skinks (200) - Boltspitters & Star Bucklers 40 x Skinks (200) - Boltspitters & Star Bucklers 10 x Skinks (60) - Boltspitters & Star Bucklers Units 6 x Ripperdactyl Riders (280) 2 x Razordons (80) Battalions Shadowstrike Starhost (170) Scenery Balewind Vortex (100) Reinforcement Points (0) Total: 2000 / 2000 Allies: 0 / 400 And this one is a Thunderquake Variant: Allegiance: Seraphon Leaders Slann Starmaster (260) - General - Trait: Vast Intellect - Artefact: Incandescent Rectrices Skink Starpriest (80) Skink Priest (80) - Priestly Trappings Engine of the Gods (220) - Artefact: Prism of Amyntok Saurus Astrolith Bearer (160) Battleline 40 x Skinks (200) - Boltspitters & Star Bucklers 10 x Skinks (60) - Boltspitters & Star Bucklers 10 x Skinks (60) - Boltspitters & Star Bucklers Units 2 x Razordons (80) 3 x Skink Handlers (40) Behemoths Bastiladon (280) Bastiladon (280) Battalions Thunderquake Starhost (170) Reinforcement Points (0) Total: 1970 / 2000 Allies: 0 / 400
Only one thing thunderquake don't need starpriest and in kroak shadow i think is better use 9 ripper, or you can't set the frog
I say every list needs a Starpriest (or a Slann using its spell) since he brings one of the best buffs in the game. The Slann can also cast his spells through him so you don't have to place the Slann near the front lines. You can use the same list, just with another command trait, for double teleport tactics without losing the Starpriest's buff. About the Rippers: yeah. I usually use Terradons so I forgot about the silly "no placing the road if the Rippers are in the skies above the board" rule interpretation.
Yet still, with the intellectual Slann, yoy might not need the starpriest (since you have the Slann with the spell). The Serpent Staff doesn't work with those behemoths, unless you might want it for an extra spell slot (i.e: bolt+shield+curse+starlight= 4 spells, and Slann has only 3)
