These are just the first few. I'll make some more pics asap. The background is one part of the modular board I'm building, my Ziggurat should be finished soon too.
Its hard to tell due to the lighting, but it looks like you used the citadel base coats to great effect. I would suggest some more ink washes (less so than salamander), although you might have already done so and the pics are simply oversaturated. It always nice to see a modular table. What material are you planning to use for water features (ie. resin, epoxy, elmers, etc)
yeah, unfortunately the lighting was bad while I made the pics. I need to make some more pics anyway, I'll post them later. I didn't use basecoats at all. I don't really want to wash them because I like them to look a little different and have a matter finish. Re: the board: I found some interesting gel in a paints supply store and will try it out with that, it can hold colours really well. I have 4 land only boards so far, so a swampy bit needs to be made anyway... Thanks for the feedback!!
OK, so I couldn't wait - here's some more. I'd just like to add again that I am totally new to this - I know these are just not that good yet. I converted a Temple Guard Champion to make a Saurus Scar Veteran: Then my Kroxigors: And finally some Saurus Cavalry, I wanted them to look like they were protecting themselves from a hail of arrows:
The krox are beautiful ! love the two blades, great idea man! you just used the weapons of the warrios ?
New to this? Are you pulling my leg (or tail HAHA bad lizard joke). There really good much better than when I first started. The kroxigors weapon and the sauraus calvary poses are cool. The totem on the kroxigor is a nice touch too, thought it was dice at first
Spirits are supposed to rise from the grave around Halloween, not threads. Let the peaceful dead rest.
I really like the scar-vet conversion you made as well as the way you modeled the cavalry. Well done! I especially like the board you made. I too am working on some terrain. Keep up the good work!
