Since the Fantasy community has been fragmented recently, I have found that I am going to have to be less picky about which edition I play. Consequently I was wondering what people would recommend doing when playing older editions? For instance do you simply use the 8th book in 6th or do you go back and use your 6th army book? Then what if you want to use a Bastiladon, do you adapt the rules for 6th or simply use the profile and rules from 8th (but what about Thunderstomp)? Any thoughts?
To be honest I would just play 8th, everyone I know is just sticking to that. If I was going to play 6th I would use the 6th ed army book and not play with Bastiladons as they werent in 6th. It's up to you and the people you play with as long as you all agree then work out some house rule for a Bastiladon, but if it was me I'd just play 8th
Adapt the rules for the Bastilodon to 6th. Thunderstomp simply becomes a special rule on the Bastilodon adapted profile.
Well in that case I would sugest that if he only wants to play 6th then the least he can do it help you come up with rules for all the models you have with your 8th book that you have brought. I much prefer 8th ed though so I'd really try to change their mind Do you play with anyone else that would play 8th? Majority rules
I would suggest that if you're going to be playing 6th edition, you should use the 6th edition Lizardmen army book. Also I would only field units that were available at the time to keep things simple and fair.
Me and my friends play with the 8th edition. I never played with another edition... In my opinion if you want to play with 6th edition Lizardmen book, you shouldn't use unit like Bastiladon ( because these model weren't existed... ) Doctor
