I'm here to enlist your help, I need you guys to help me find real pictures of purple reptiles (or Amazing photoshops) Also tips on painting purple would be nice. n810! Thank you! Thats a great picture of a lizard and is exactly what I wanted. As for the Barney joke I Really am considering painting a stegadon super deep purple and calling him barney. Then I realized that stegadons rarely match colors with lizard men... The paint job looks like it's gonna need lots of hormagaunt purple as a basecoat .. It'll look awesome! And Kaax... Have you ever seen the emperors children (40k) or a pink minion of slannesh? Or better! a pink horror. 90% of the pink things in both warhammer versses will rip your face off while looking awesome. (including,yes pink lizardmen)
@Tristaco Nah man, I have no issues with pink...really. I just can't sport the pink scales of death myself. More power to those that can and do....no harm intended - I promise. I do imagine that color scheme would look incredible if done right. I plan to trick out my Chameleons, so you can toss a volley of color phobia my way when the time comes... Sorry if I offended..... No worries. I initially said mid to late January, so pretty soon I guess. I might try to open it in the next week or two, but fairly busy with uni work right now.

I did a saurus with the new washes and thought it looked pretty good, I think it was; white undercoat, purple wash, blue wash, red wash, done.
I agree they look good, Some advice: Line the bracelets and the metal work with a watered down black it really makes them pop and look a lot nicer. Also Wash and highlight the metals gold with 50/50 mithril silver/shining gold and the silver just with mithril silver.
sure thing Slanny, much the same as Overhamsteren, white basecoat, two purple wash, liche purple on the scales, and then a black wash to dirty them up. Then detail. Easy as. I've given the Brave Black scales to make him stand out a little more (not pictured). EDIT: corrected white wash to white baseboat
Your skinks are amazing!! I'm inanely busy right now but on friday or saturday im gonna paint one Saurus warrior with a wash technique and another one with a suuuper dark purple that will build up from necron abyss and then hormagaunt purple. I'll see which one i like better and may reserve the latter for my slann...
