Re: AoD: Winter War *Round 2* RESULTS on page 4 Round 3 Itza-gana Hurtz VS Lord de Cochon The gate opened, revealing the white horse and the obese knight a top it, he strides in looking at the opposite gate with a careless look. As he does the opposing gate opens and Itza-Gana comes rushing out his massive blade still filth encrusted from the last gruesome battle. The knight, closes the visor on his gromdril helm and urges his horse forward. The two meet, centre of the arena for a brief moment, the knight swings, but the saurus agilely dodges from one side of the horse to the other, managing to strike the knight once, as he quickly moves by, however it glances off his well armoured back. The knight turns back to assail his opponent, he swings his hammer at the saurus viciously, managing to connect one blow on the saurus shoulder, the saurus staggers be seems otherwise unaffected. Retaliating, Itza-Gana swings missing all his blows, then makes a running leap, clearing the horse and slamming his blade into the torso of the knight. Lord de Cochon, falls to the ground, the wind knocked out of him for a short moment and the oldblood, looms in-front of him. Enraged by the insult of being dismounted, the Lord quickly rolls to his feet, swings his hammer into the gut of the saurus, causing the lizardman to double over, then with one unnaturally powerful blow, the knight swings his hammer down into the skull of the saurus, smashing it in two. The knight lifts his visor, looks down at the carnage breifly, then mounts his horse. He leaves the arena with the knowledge that another amazing deed, would be added to his long list of accomplishments. I'd prefer to get some kind of discount for lost Wizard levels, but the Skink Chief proved being competitive is not super important. If I wanted to be competitive I'd take an Old Blood on a Cold One with Fencers Blades, Opal Amulet, and Glittering Scales, but this is the LM site and another Oldblood would just be boring.
Re: AoD: Winter War *Round 2* RESULTS on page 4 Its only 1 lost wizard level, and everyone loses a little from the way its set up, no lance charge for knights, no ogre charge, things like that. Plus a vampire hero is super powerful even without the magic, and on the plus side he won't have the poofing rule.
Great write up! I cannot say that I am surprised by the way it turned out. Brett Lords are a real pain in the a$$ with that killing blow set up. Thanks again for the effort you put into this! I look forward to the next one.

So here's my idea for the next one. Either its a take down the bret lord scenario. Using the exact same hero as this (I'll let you all know his build), or an all new one tournament. Which would you guys prefer?
My vote would be for an all new tournament, but to also have the bret lord with this build as an additional entrant. Winner-stays-on style.

Does an immunity to killing blow (aside from size) grant immunity to heroic killing blow? The wording of heroic killing blow makes me think that it does. If it doesn't, how about for the sake of the competition, we make it work that way? That being said, I think only dwarves, and WoC have items that grant this (VC's got taken out, right?).
One of our special characters has an immunity to killing blow. Probably doesn't work for this (cause they cost too much) though.
Ya I think the errata's too make any item that says immune to killing blow, immune to the heroic version as well. I think every army should have 1 item that does makes them immune, but alas it is not so.
