So it begins....,,,,,,
Apostles of Contagion test model started.......
I quite like that double tone to its armor! It seems it´s going to be heavy weathered..
It's coming along well!
Agreed! Quite an ugly guy already...
Nurgle are blessed with great beauty!!
Yeah I'm going for heavily battle damaged and weathered on these.
Hideously beautiful. contagiously pretty. disgustingly nice. blightful elegance. Sickly stylish. infectious glamor. Nauseating exquisiteness.
Another blessed with Papas vision, together brother we will rule.
First stage of the weathering done, dryad bark applied with a sponge then an all over wash of light rust then while wet dabbed off randomly, then a dark rust applied to all metal surfaces.
2nd Stage complete,
Matt lacquer applied to seal the rust washes.
4/1 mix of Windsor and Newton Burnt Umber oil paint and white spirit applied as a wash all over.
Wow... that looks pretty intense!!!
Only the first stage of part 2, I need to remove excess yet
Excess oil wash removed with an eye shadow applicator dampened with white spirit, added battle damage and blocking in colours.
Beautiful work @Crowsfoot , beautiful work!
Still a fair way to go with him yet but yeah he is looking good.
Thanks for the nice comment.
See told ya Nurgle we're beautiful
This is by far your best work yet.
Cheers bud, I'm loving it, totally different to painting fantasy and it's harder than I thought.
Now is the space marine head going to be a Blood Angel
Really amazing work, that plague marine is really coming to life (or decaying depending on your point of view). It is amazing seeing the painting progress as you keep adding more and more to the miniature. Can't wait for a bunch of them to be finished, but I can only imagine how long it will take!
