Alrighty, if you don’t want this here, just let me know and I’ll remove it. You seem to be an expert at conversions, and I would love your opinion.

I’ve been inspired by the lists rolling around with Celestant-Primes to make a Seraphon Conversion of one. I was going to try to use the Saurus body from the Carnosaur kit, but the wings and whether or not the model would look cool are eluding me. What do you think? Again, sorry if this isn’t the place for it.

First off thanks for the comment but I’m far from an expert but to answers your question.

When I convert I always start by thinking what would be cool and from there I develop the idea and parts, from what you describe I think it could work but the stance of the Saurus would lend to folded wings or smallish open wings, keep it in proportion and it will look good.

Post pics when you start it.

@Crowsfoot I know it’s probably impossible to get them at this point, but do you know if Woogity is still making his Kroxigors? I can’t even consider buying the GW models after seeing those... :O

Unfortunately woogity no longer makes any models due to work and family commitments. :(
 
That’s unfortunate, those Krox models are beautiful. Now I have to try to find another reasonable alternative lol
 
He should really sell the rights to those Kroxigor to a company. Reaper maybe? This site alone should be enough evidence that those models will sell. I'm sure it'd make him much more money than it is now...
 
Started work on my Coatl-Prime tonight, having trouble with the wings, I may have to find a way to pin them, as the glue won’t set. @Crowsfoot

Ive been using Citadel Plastic Glue, the wings seem to be a different kind of plastic, so I tried using super glue and it wasn’t working out.

I will create my own painting thread soon, I haven’t had too much time lately to work on hobby stuff.
 
Not a fan of Citadels glue. :meh:
I prefer Testors or Locktite.
