That is a lot of Spirit Hosts!
Base won't be ready until tomorrow, but here's what I've been working on...
Damn you Dan!
Think im still going ogres, the brown skin looks really good against the red armour, what else have you got to paint?
4 more brutes, and a megaboss... But this brute took about 7 hours so it's going to take a while to get through it all. Going to take them slow, one at a time.
The extra time shows
Also, khorne flakes
Yes it definitely does. Looking wild @Ritual , I love that about these models and the brown skin is just adequate for that feeling. can't wait to see more!!
Yeah first I wanted to complain about the skin as IMO Orruks just have to be some tone of green, but.... wow he looks cool!
They're brown cos they hung out on Aqshy too long but at least they got fire weapons for their efforts...
Just had another look at him and the weave you have added in places on the pants is a nice touch
What I love about Brutes is that their bases are so big. A lot of space to do cool stuff with on the bases, as my friend @Mesandres has demonstrated a few times now.
I am in awe of his bases every time we play.
I thought that orruks are (one of) the army(/ies) where you would not change the general coloration a lot... at least they are called green skins... and then I saw this guy!
Great work @Ritual
And he even got a nice fluff explanation.
Finished now with the base...
Really great choice of colors. Good job!
I also think that the Brutes - or Ironjawz in general - are mostly great sculpts. So GW also did a great job there.
Now with 100% more WAAAAGH!
Looking awesome! You're gonna make me want to spend (yet) more money and paint some Orks
Here's sir Archibald Kudos:
