Hello scaly fellows! I'm currently working on my Saurus Astroderp Bearer conversion. Here are two pics of the banner. Pieces held together with blu tack Please, don't mind the horrible lighting. I'm still trying to figure out how to take a picture of a miniature. The back view of the astrolith has two small 'holes' underneath the two-headed stardrake icon (blue arrow). Do you think I should cover them? If yes, how?
THAT LOOKS AWESOME! As in really beautifully painted. No real tips to add here except keep doing what you are doing.
It looks fine. I honestly can’t see the holes. I can’t tell what you are calling “holes”. 1) What hole? 2) “...Cover them?” A: Not necessarily. 3) “...If Yes, how?” A: Stick a skull there? A: Stick a small metal sphere it the hole? (A 4.5mm BB might be ideal for this.) I agree with @Warden.
Thank you everyone. I will leave those recesses be and start gluing all the pieces together, then go with some minor painting on the feathers.
I thought that club visible in the first picture was going to end up in the other hand. What choices does your blitz box provide?
So, talking about Saurus left arms I only have those from warriors and knights, and a scar-vet left arm from the carno kit. Unfortunately all my temple guard bits ended up in this conversion. The left arm from the carno rider would require a lot of work, the knight arm is too small. Any creativbe suggestion is accepted!
Get a left arm from an online bitz seller? Use a warriors arm? (Reasons were stated why the other two would not work...) Get a Savage Orc plastic model and cannibalize it? Unrelated Q: where is the figure’s right leg?
Yes, I'll probably look for a bitz seller to get the saurus guard drummer left arm, or maybe make a mold cast with Oyamaru of the Eternity Warden left hand. Unrelated Q A: it's just where it is supposed to be, the model is slightly rotated in the photo so the leg is hiding behind the body
