There are some guys in Germany (I think) called the Black Dragons who do all kinds of wicked conversions. I stumbled across some of their Lizardmen stuff and it's pretty cool, and makes me quite jealous. Just seeing this inspires me to covert way more stuff. I am also not sure, but I think that Kroxigor is based off the LoTR troll model with an old Cold One head. That's my best guess.
Wow. There are some amazingly talented people in the world. Anyone know where those shoulder pads on the saurus come from? I swear I have some but can't remember where from...
Black Dragons is a Company that converts models for people as a business so if you see anything that you just cant live without you can order them from the site . A friend of mine had a really awesome Kholek Suneater model done by them and it turned out great.
I too desire this knowledge. It would probably be more expensive for me here though, seeing as they would have to ship across the pond.
According to their website, they give estimates depending on how complex the conversion is, how many different kits they need to get the required bits, etc. So the only way to know what you'd be paying is to contact them with an idea and see for yourself.
I know that for Kholek they charged him A LOT. Probably around 2 to 3 hundred dollars, but the model he got was huge. It was like 7 or 8 inches tall so i would say that those models of the Saurus on foot would mybe be around fifty.
I found a sweet Kholek resin cast for about 80$ US (not including shipping on eBay). This seller actually has some decent special character resin cast sculpts. http://cgi.ebay.com/WH-MPG-Converte...ltDomain_0&hash=item19bbca3b2b#ht_3977wt_1137
