Ok guys sold all my 40k stuff and looking to start AOS again on a small scale, I have my armies for KOW and now I'm building Order and Chaos for AOS.

So far I have, Start collecting Skaven and Spire of Dawn Skaven, 10 Nurgle demons and 3 skin wolfs.

Order I have 2 spire of dawn Elve sets, 10 sisters of avalon and 16 glade guard and loads of Seraphon but no core troops.

I was thinking a start collecting Seraphon and swap the carny for warriors.

    What do you guys reckon?

If you want seraphon core, that's a pretty good way of going about it. Though, If you are generalizing order, find some Ellyrian Reavers. Battleline and a lot of fun to play. Fyreslayers and stormcast have some fun battleline as well. Pick up a battlemage or two, and a celestial hurricanum.

Old models are a lot of fun!

If you just need core troops, check on ebay from sellers like trolltrader and 1meerkat1 or something like that. They usually post up job lots that have like 40 warriors that end up going for something like 20 bucks.

It's a pretty effective way to get some numbers of battleline as long as you don't mind doing a little work on them.

I need to look at my Seraphon and see what I can still use for AOS, I quite like the idea of buying new and redoing them as my painting has improved since I did the first batch, and I can play with my new Airbrush on them.

AOS is so forgiving. It changes the game a little bit to have round bases, but meh.

Almost all my guys are still on square except for the guys I'm in the process of building. Re-basing everything gets expensive !

That and the squares are smaller than the rounds, so you could just magnetize them and put them together. Model stands a bit taller but it works.
