Has anyone used them since GH2? Really interested in how they are working now!
I've ran it every game since. Skink alpha movement ability makes charges after teleport lots more reliable, so I'm using the Stegadon to take out lone or weak targets. I haven't ran the flamers though as mine is fitted with the bow.
The flamers look tempting, but the bow is still more versatile. When using the Stegadon for teleporting around this way, I also can't help being worried that the flamers will do more harm than good. If I target a unit with 1 wound models that I also intend to charge, the flamers potentially give the opponent the option to remove models out of the way so the charge becomes harder. It's so very situational, where as I can still use the bow to try to snipe key targets and such.
As said by Lizko, teleporting stagadon is wonderful. Is a behemoth made to hit hard when charge, and the ability to teleport it (fully buffed), then move it by a free d6, is just priceless.
I've run a 1000 pts list with:
10 x Skinks
3 prosecutors w javelin (allies)
and it's just wonderful
I will try that soon-ish as well. It was one of the first ideas I had when I heard of the teleport, I have to try it.
This topic made me put a stegadon on the top of my top buy list...
