    So reading warstorm got me, had to get a few of these guys. Here's my first take on the new army. This model could absolutely work in 40k as well as AoS.

    Does the head come on the sprue? I thought they we're supposed to be all mysterious.

    Probably should get his eye looked at.

    Added it by his feet actually. It comes attached but I took it off. In the novels they do remove their masks at times, no reason they can't be modeled without them.

    They look better without the mask, I'm liking the khorne side and I'm seriously considering starting a khorne army

    Yeah I find the masks removed better for the heroes, but I still like my troops with masks. Same as my dwarves or elves.

    My lord relictor (head chosen based on the description of Ionus from warstorm)

    @Carrp

    He looks great and I prefer your colour scheme, the new gold GW have launched is nice but used a tad too much on the models they have painted.

    I agree, they look much better than GW's squeaky clean versions.

    I like what you did with them and they are a pleasure to look at. Unfortunately it boggles my mind that those models are intended for a warhammer game that is not followed by a large number.

    It's amazing how a different colour palette and a head swap can completely change the feel of an army. The standard GW schemes make the Stormcast feel very cartoony & one dimensional "we are holy paladins and we kill evil things with our holy lightning and goodness". Yours give a very different impression - "we are holy warriors of a warrior god who kill evil things in an eternal war against the worst nightmares you can imagine and it is not clean work".

    Love it.
