Are Terradons able to use the Deadly Cargo ability when being deployed with Strike from the Skies? Or does it have to be used in their next movement phase?

I see no reason why they shouldn't be able to drop their rocks.
I have also used that tactic in some games and nobody ever complained either.

Wording on the battalion is "during" the movement phase they descend from the skies, at least 3" away from an enemy model. any effect that occurs "during" a phase is your choice for in what order it happens. so an effect that say... summons... during a movement phase would allow them to move unless specifically restricted from doing so by the rule that allowed them to be summoned. this is why our summons cannot move the turn they come into play. they are summoned "at the end of" the movement phase. meaning this is done after all other movement phase things are done, but prior to moving to the next phase.

So simply put, the answer is yes and it doesn't matter if someone complains or not... they are specifically designed to be able to do it due to when they come in to the game and no prelusion for movement in their ability rule text.

Yes, the ability doesn't use the usual wording preventing them from moving. So they can move and drop the cargo.

It's a thing that will be probably fixed when we'll receive our new battletome, as it goes against the actual direction GW writes this kind of rules forAoS

Yeah. I hope not but I guess they will change it, making the Terradons even worse.

I don't think they will change it, Terradons aren't killing it on top tables and they are the only thing that benefits from the move

meh it wouldn't just significantly hurt terradons but the shadowstrike host as a whole gets fairly underwhelming if you make the drop act as the usual "stay 9" away" teleport abilities. The whole reason to get the battalion is for that drop on top of an enemy. Taking it away basicly makes the battalion pointless.

I really hope i will be proved wrong, but i predict (when it will happen) a change in the direction of "set the models at more than 9" from the enemy, get +x to charge", with a decrease in points cost.
A thing similar to Nighthaunts' Deathriders.

I really hope not, but given that GW seems to have taken an approach of making everything work the same and applying blanket changes whenever a certain mechanic leads to outliers that can be abused I fear you're right..
