    Hi,

Just a quick question about a Slann in a unit of Temple Guard and challenges.

    Can he refuse a challenge?

If he does would the Temple guard still be stubborn ( i expect yes).
if he does can the TG still use his leadership/bsb for breaktests?

    thx

The slaan can accept or refuse a challenge as per normal, there is no rule exempting him from this. If the Slaan refuses and he is chosen to be pushed back by the opponent, the following applies:

    1) Stubborn - the unit remains stubborn as the Sacred Duty rules on p. 35 of the AB only require the Slaan to be present in the unit.

    2) Leadership - No, the unit would lose the Slaan's LD. See last sentence, 1st para, on Refusing a Challenge on p. 102 of BRB.

    3) BSB Re-roll - The re-roll is lost but any magic from the banner remains in play. See page 3 of the FAQ.

I concur with everything Stonecutter pointed out. Champions are great for challenges, another reason why Life is a great lore for the Slann, that champ can be the first guy your resurrect!
