Blog The Armies of Lustria (Update 08/10: Priest)

Gonna do a wee painting blog of my progress in my new lizzies.

I have assembled and primed white:

32 saurus with 2 command groups.
1 saurus oldblood
and 1 saurus scar vetran with battle standard.

the battle standard model wouldnt fit the way its shown on the website so i had to angle the standard backwards a bit. Overall though pretty pleased for 2 days work.

Looking forward to the pics. Don't worry too much about how much time it takes at first. Once you get going, your speed and skill will increase.

yeah im gonna try mass painting, like doing all the skin then all the shields etc. im really trying to make them look as good as possible with undercoats, basecoats, washes, drybrushing, layering, highliting etc.

im just doing to standard blue or according to GW paints its "green" and red shields etc i love the way it all blends together

i always forget these guys but i built and primed 10 temple guard on the same day as i did the others... which is weird cause their one of my favourite lizzie units.

Anyway i just need to drybrush the base and give the base rim a 2nd coat and my test model is finished.

Here are the pics of the finished test model, a bit annoyed with how a few bits came out but i think ill improve after doing it on 44 miniatures...

it works fine for me, i just copied the image url of the origional image and pasted it with the [pic] button

Well when I directly pasted that link into the adress bar it said I need to sign up for some acount ???

Also the link should probaly end with ".jpg".

Ps. instead of copying off the addres bar, right click on the piure and choose properties
and copy and paste that link instead.

oh right, well i took the photos on my phone and put them in dropbox as my phone refuses to sesnd emails to my computer for some reason, did the rest of the photos show up? i right clicked and then clicked copy image URL and pasted it with the [pic] thing, thats what it said to do in the how to paste photos i think

Making good progress with my oldblood and BSB should be finished with them tomorrow, starting to speed up with the painting too

Photobucket works great. You have to use the "direct link" URL with the [pic] tags on this site.

- Seem like Dropbox is not very good for sharing images on forums...
- looks like they might be protecting their images from exactly what you are trying to do.

My tip is to host it on Flickr. It's great and very easy to use. Or you could host in imgir I guess.

Thanks that means a lot on a dedicated lizzie forum im trying to paint to a very high standard for myself and i think its working pretty well!!
