That's a great start, neat brushwork there. You could try adding some depth very easily with a few washes. Scales, shield and gold would all benefit a lot.

hmmm if you are allready doing washes (good job there),
perhasps some dry brushinga lighter shade before the wash.
and a little bit afterwards (make sure the wash is dry first). ;)

Thanks, nah i played 40K and fantasy about 4 years ago but i was awful at painting, i just wanted to play, now im really getting into the hobby side.

Gonna put my lizzies on hold for a wee bit as im working on a few projects for my portfolio, a warmachine diorama and maybe a 40k scene with a building.

    Re: The Armies of Lustria

The link you want is the one that looks like a "normal" URL (starts with "http://" like in n810's post). Put that link from the image hosting site into this forum using the "pic" button (the URL goes between the pic tags that the button will create). That should make the pics appear correctly.

EDIT: whoops. I guess I should read all of the new PAGES of posts before posting. Good job on the command group and the temple guard. You're definitely off to a good start.

Re: The Armies of Lustria (update 06/10 skinks)

Shhh, I didn't even notice the polka dot effect until you pointed it out. Now it's hard not to see them. Maybe give the dots a slightly earthier color.

Re: The Armies of Lustria (Update 06/10: skinks)

I think the polka dots look fine. Maybe remove 1 or 2 from each though for spacing :D
