The only thing at stake here is my measurement of average human intelligence. Obviously the force is superior. With the force you can strike down those that chose the jar of dirt and take it as your own. Plus when you combine their corpses with the dirt, you end up with even more dirt! Yea, but that movie bombed in the box office, so I wouldn't put too much stock into it.
Yeah i guess it would be. I liked that film But the question is why choose a nonphysical entity with no real reason to stay with you? At least a jar of dirt cannot vanish when you need it most. Or be used against you. The force is unexplained. You dont know if it has more to gain working for or against you. You dont know its motives, or even if it has motives. Whereas with a jar of dirt you know exactly where you stand.
Are you making the argument that you would chose a simple jar of dirt over magical powers that would grant you an advantage over every single living creature on the planet? You could use it for such good (or evil... hehehe) Sure not everything is known about the force, but a significant and crucial amount is already well established. The force doesn't "stay with you" or vanish. From the movies and other lore, it is very clearly established that having a connection to the force is extremely advantageous. So your points on it working against you or the potential existence of its motivations are unfounded.
Dammit i thought i was being clever To be honest the main reason I'd pick the dirt over the force is just to win this argument. But there has to be some downside to it. What about being pressured into using for good or for evil? And of course theres always the fact that a jar of dirt is cheap, but you can't buy the force if you don't have it.
I'm going to use Baze Malbus as an example, A jar of dirt would be useless against him...... Nuff said, force wins hands down (especially when controlled by a Sith)
I thought it did reasonably, but it just ran over budget by a ridiculous amount due to a the set being nuked by a hurricane or something?
A jar of dirt to the face will never let you down... Hissssss.... so many heathens..... must worship the dirt....
having a skill that is in demand is a good thing. Everyone wants to feel important and needed you don't actually have to tell anyone of your powers if you do not wish to a Jedi mind trick (or a force choke) can quickly discourage people from harassing you That just makes the force even more valuable. A hard (or impossible) to obtain commodity vs. an abundantly and cheaply available one. That is more reason to choose the force. It's cost to earnings ratio was pretty bad, which means financially it bombed. Star Wars on the other hand is a proven money maker.
About 4 feet, give or take.* *actually it depends on which one. I have 3, and multiple blades at different lengths.
