AoS The Trizard list , " Shoot, Skirmish, Shenaningans "

    Hey Lizard Fellow,

    I adapted this list from adam Trunzo, basically it's all about controlling the map and objectives and shoot everything that prevent this.
    We got 3 of everything :
    - 3 skinks for chaff / protect alpha / screen
    - 3 chameleon to pop on objectives, clean target heros
    - 3 units of razor to get down hard target
    - 3 mages for magic superiority
    - Ok summoning ( Slaan + astro + EoTg )
    - Good Map control via spells ( comet / shackles ) and LoSaT²
    - Excellent objectives cap ability ( Chamo ambush + skinks + LoSaT )

    I like it. I know almost nothing about AS2 (or AS1 for that matter) but if I had the models I would be willing to try it.

    Fairly obviously this list is a lot heavier on the endless spells and it has a couple of counter-charge units in an attempt to avoid being overwhelmed by some of the more assault-oriented armies out there but I think it is designed to work much the same way. It just uses more magic than shooting, at least partially because our shooting tends to either struggle for hitting power or for range in which case we can get zoned out from hitting important heroes.

    Not that I have that many razordons yet.

    Anyway, interesting that you came up with such a similar list.

    Might be a super cool variation, just not a fan of the saurus knights unless battle lines in Dracotian Tail :) Havent tried all the endless spell combo but can be super effective.

    No, to be honest they are there because they are an affordable and flexible counter-charge unit rather than because they are a very good one. Realistically I do not expect them to do much more than chew something up a bit when there are spare CP to spend and then slow down an enemy unit by just having a bunch of wounds and not really being that bothered by battleshock.

    Arguably a 4th unit of skinks and an Engine of the Gods (or even a Stegadon) instead of the Knights and Scar Vet make more sense. I just feel sad if I can't find any place at all for Saurus except the Astrolith Bearer.

    I do think there are some nasty endless spell combos out there to be used. I also think they are generally our best way to deal mortal wounds now that Kroak has been hit so hard, important as we do tend to lack decent rend.
