    Hey all,

Very new to the hobby and today marks day one on my painting journey!

Finally finished assembling my start collecting box.

    Starting with the warriors!

I'm only going to focus on one at the start, and see if I can get it finished tonight. I'll post regular updates when I can with my progress.

Feedback always welcome, thus far I've only ever painted a single imperial guard guy that my local Warhammer store gave me for free.

My very first boy is born!

All I can see are imperfections though! :sour:

Also I kinda forgot to get a brown for the shaft of his spear, I'll have to go snag some.

Looking good, make sure you keep a note of the paints your using and where, you'll be glad you did.

Pretty good for your first Saurus.
It takes some practice but your precision seems to be good already. Eyes and everything, not bad. :)

    Thanks y'all! <3

I only did a bunch of base coats last night on the rest of my Saurus from the SC box, getting ready to dry brush and wash a bunch tonight. Nothing too exciting.

I already know for my next batch i'm not putting those shields on until after. They get in the way so much!

Yeah, I definitely recommend keeping the shields separately. It speeds up things considerably.

Awesome stuff, far better than my first sarus, those shields are very promising, keep on remembering practice makes perfect and don't compare yourself to others that have been doing the hobby for years :D

Thank you again everyone for the kind words!

    Made some progress last night!

Dry brushed some skink blue onto these bois, and managed to get through a few of them with sotek green.

Hope to get Sotek done tonight and start on temple guard blue.

I feel like I’m slowly speeding up. Leaning a lot of good lessons with this first batch.

Oh!! I also scored 4 x Razordons last night! I’m so excited about them!

EDIT: Apologies about the vertical picture, posted this from my phone, can't flip it at the moment.

    Hey all!

Been dormant for a bit, wanted to post a big update next instead of a ton of similar updates.

My first batch of lizard bois are done! I took heavy inspiration from Darkclaw's old blood on these forums for the spines.

The only thing I have left to do on them is base them, which I'm just not sure what to do quite yet.

    CNC Welcome! Rip me apart!

Next up is working on my Banner Holder, Dummer, and Alpha. I wanted to wait on doing those until I had some more experience.

Looking good, the shields look a little flat maybe it's the camera but the red looks like it needs a lighter highlight.

    Hey all,

It's been awhile, but here and there I've been working on some things but not nearly as much as I had hoped.

    Here's my current project:

    6 x Rippers

I was first going to go with a purple color scheme, but just couldn't get it to look right. They just looked like flying nids and that's no good. I landed on a more traditional color scheme for my rippers and this is my first stab at putting some patterns on the wings.

    It's still a WIP

Also of note, getting the right amount of paint for dry brushing is harder than I expected.

Welp, decided to go another route with the rippers.

Got really frustrated trying to get everything to come together and did the bad thing and ripped all the paint off with Simple Green and starting again.

Now going with the normal terradon pattern with more ripper-like colors.

Still a WIP but I'm liking this much better.
