Hi guys I’m torn and not too sure what to do with these bad boys.

I got these a few weeks ago, now the skinks aren’t painted much and would probably be easy to just remove mold line and then paint them to what i want...

Now the saurus on the other hand 12 of them are painted 12 just primed so I attack the mold line on those already no big deal, but the painted one I’m not sure on them it’s close to what I want as a finish result but some stuff I don’t like like the green shield and tongue not a fan... I suppose would be too hard to go over it but then the mold line will perhaps bug me idk...

    What’s you guys though ?!?

I know some of you have way more experienced then me!!!

Ill keep this open for 30 days!!

Do you have or want to have a uniform color scheme across the board with other units you have already painted? If yes, then you may want to strip and re-prime them, because your painting style will be different (unless it was you who painted those).

Removing a mold is a destructive operation, especially around the fingers, where you literally have to cut a part of the finger for them to look natural. Moreover it will leave quite large unprimed surface which will be a pain to fix later.

Most of the time you can just paint over the model with out stripping or re priming the model. If someone is just starting off, stripping paint off the model can be a very daunting challenge.

That’s the thing it’s may annoy me in the long run, I didn’t paint them, but will paint similar I think, except the green parts don’t like those.

True around the hand it’s a PITA I’m looking more at removing the big eye sore like on the head legs and arm ... I know I’m not going to be able to them all off as it’s glue on with plastic glue so some spot is unreachable and can’t easily pop of the parts... I mean some spot there still a bit of sprue left so that annoy me

Yeah stripping I’m afraid may be a PITA for these one the worst will be to reach places with the tooth brush... I’ve already strip 16 of them but broke them apart, now Im working on a skinks starpriest and a saurus from the carno kit which got its hard to reach area lol...

I use exacto-knife precisely for this job. It separates limbs better than any surgeon in the market, including your fingers if you are not careful, haha. Once you separate the hands and legs you just need to use any kind of sand paper to smooth the parts the glue was on and you can glue them back again. I also observed that separating limbs also helps with stripping ;).

I wish I could pop the limb out but unfortunately I can’t its plastic glue and well there just one big « hahahahah » piece of plastic now.... I do like to use a exato knife as well except when it turn on you!!!

Now I just realized I can’t see my own poll unless I vote which I think for now I’ll keep it that way until the end and vote and see in general what people think I should do!! It will be interesting for sure!!

I’m thinking I’ll keep them the way they are for now saurus .... will see I’ll probably change my mind tomorrow morning lol

    I tend to say:
I they fit your color scheme, just keep them.
Give them some finishing touches and they will look fine as a horde.

    So guys/gals,

It’s been a week I couldn’t wait any longer and I voted lol

By the looks of it, I believe a few saurus and skink will go for a swim very shortly. Well after I’m done drowning my paladins!! Hope they know how to swim or they’ll have to learn fast !! Hehehe

Return the biomass to the pools in order for them to res-pawn bigger, better, stronger!
