So i am a bit noob when it comes to boards so i dont know how to embed the pic itself, keeps telling me my image may only be 1 pixel wide, so here are the links. Re: WiP for a new modeller: advice, tips, contructive critic That's because this forum uses [ pic ] tags instead of [ img ] tags. This is your stuff: The Saurus hero looks very promising. The Cold One too if you get the green stuff right.
Re: WiP for a new modeller: advice, tips, contructive critic Very nice work. I like the way you are going with them. They are much more dynamic than the standard. Great work.
Re: WiP for a new modeller: advice, tips, contructive critic The saurus hero looks awesome! Great work. I'm interested to see the others finished as well.
Re: WiP for a new modeller: advice, tips, contructive critic Not bad, you're going the right way if your long term goal is sculpting scratch builds. The saurus looks good, nice and dynamic, the only thing I would consider (though this depends on how brave you're feeling) is to straighten out his right leg. As his weight and body is tilted down towards left, there would be little weight passing through his right, as a result it would be best stretched out to give him as much balance as possible for the swing. But as I said this is all dependent on how brave you're feeling, if you're not comfortable with your skills at cutting, repining and green stuffing the leg then it might be better if you leave it as it is.
Re: WiP for a new modeller: advice, tips, contructive critic I really like the cold one. How did you manage to get it in that position?
Re: WiP for a new modeller: advice, tips, contructive critic thanks guys. What I was going for in the saurus was a swing in action. and the cold one was hacked apart with a dremel which took off a little too much material for my liking. But both legs had to be cut in multiple places and repositioned, as well as the front leg and the head. havent gotten to work on them this week, but hopefully this weekend,
Re: WiP for a new modeller: advice, tips, contructive critic not bad at all. the saurus character is looking cool so far. i like the huge shoulders if you wanna try and take it to the next step, you could try and bulk him up a bit with GS. it was much easier than i thought (though it does take time). you can check my plog (link in signature) for some WIP pictures
