Ok, so here's my problem: are characteristic tests caused by magic items or spells (specifically the blood stattuette of spite) magic attacks? because the magic item allows a 3+ ward against any attack that isn't magical. The stattuette rules say that it ignores armour saves, but says nothing about ward. Which means if the attacks are magical, then he doesnt get his ward and if they are he does. So are the tests themselves magical?

I would be inclined to say yes, but it doesn't specifically say that. Help guys?

The latest FAQ defines magical attacks as "all attacks made by spells and magic items." So I would say that wounds from the Blood Statuette are definitely magical; therefore, no Ward Save from that item.
