I may have to pick up the Wood Elves book to go with my High and Dark books. Provided it is any good of course.

The models in the video kinda look like Brets to me. I know it will be woodies' but those footman don't look like elves.

those models are Brets or Empire. They're in the woods about to get messed up by some woodies.

Looks like they're being a bit cheeky with their update, throwing a unit of man-at-arms in there, but I think we were supposed to be wondering what's in the woods.

Do you guys think they'll bring back the sprites? I can see a couple on the treemen, and I thought they gave woodies their own little fluff inspired "equipment". The look of the treemen really has taken a step towards the dryad versus the older versions of more tree-trunk components.

Sprites are now 6+ ward save AFAIK, unless I've misunderstood something.

I knew it! Trees have willies and ladies bits. Why else would they wear loincloths.

I'm a fan of the Treeman.

I know that my Wood Elf buddy will hate it though, because its not an actual tree with legs and arms - you know, the literal definition of a Treeman, and nothing more to it.

But this seems to be really fleshing out the concept. Its not just a leafy tree which is walking this way - its an elder spirit of the wood and its coming to fuck your shit up. Superbly placed for moving Wood Elves away from hippy elves and more towards wild Elves. Much hype, very excitement.

How is that every release since our book has made me feel like Lizardmen was stepped on?

I thought High Magic was supposed to be something special and not for a merry go round...I can see it makes sense fluffwise.....

Still looking forward to the rest though, I like the look of the Treemen!

    Because they were.

On the other hand, Forest Spirit ward is down to 6++ now. Maybe Woodies got Vetock'd, too, rather than Warded?

I think that them having a ward at all is major good, especially if they are getting high magic. If they get the same lore attribute as the high elf version then they could potentially have some really durable dryads.
