ok guys I'm on the list for some of Woogitys Krox's but I'm leaving the colour scheme down to a poll and I will be attempting a good quality with these models. So please cast a vote and give a brief reason why, In the event of a tie I will draw lots. Will close the poll Sunday 7th June Black and Grey won with Red and Cream, Purple and yellow coming joint second, will update my Return of the Ancient painter thread with pics of any progress I make. Cheers to all that voted.
I think they'd look food with red scales and cream body like the Hive Fleet Kraken colours for Tyranids in 40k. I've always liked those colours.
Purple and yellows sounds awesome (black and grey is my second choice). Kudos for creating an interactive painting experience. I hope the votes keep flowing in!
Purple and Yellow! The two contrast really nicely and will really draw the eye to the Krox! (nothing to do with a love for purple lizardmen...)
Red and cream, heavy on the shades of red to make it Sotek themed, they would look fearsome and could be used themetically for games or with the end times rules on the red host for lizardmen. I think painting their faces/hands so their marks actually look like they just finished goring into something would be awesome.
I would choose different secondary colours for the main ones provided. For example: Blue scales and cream/grey belly Green scales and bone belly Purple scales and desaturated pink belly Red/cream and black/grey would work, but I don't like them for kroxigor
If you cast a vote and say which one you voted as you know LM can vary in colour so nothing to stop me using another colour along side the main two. For example Red and Cream, your reading it as Red main colour, cream under belly it could easily be reversed, and there are 3 models so they will all be slightly different but with a common theme.
Oh, then I also vote you paint them all the same scheme It would be a crying shame to have them all different
I'm a fan of darker colours, currently looking through a load of reference art I've got and chatting it over with a hideously talented painter mate of mine.
