I found a pretty cool 3D model site that (I feel) has some nice looking minis which could work as proxies. IF we ever get our book update, and if GW doesn't update our model range, then maybe check out these minis.

This guy might be a bit too "fiendish". Plus, no cool floating throne.

    Possible Salamanders
Quite like a Chaos Hound. I wish the back fin was just a bit bigger/taller.

This beastie ate one too many rats. Still I like it for being different.

Maybe if you could get it without wings
    [IMG]

    Maybe?....

I don't know what this thing is, but I really dig the head. It feels very "salamander-like" to me.

Ok, not really, but I LOVE that spiked tail. I wish I could just get the tail to glue onto another model.

I think I would cut the fin, sculpt an undersaddle (or whatever its called) and try to make a saurus or skink cav unit out of it :)

Seeing the site it is only the 3D-file you're purchasing.
What I am missing is any reference of size...

This I like, Looks like the little chubbier brother of the FW Basilisk ;)

I agree that the size of all of these models is a big question mark.

I really like that Drakehound for Salamanders too. But everything else has me thinking hard about what to do with them.

I won't deny, I was really the most focused on the Drakehound too. I guess that good modelers could make something out of the Toad Fiend and Shorelurker. The others minis I think just have neat parts and pieces, but they would need lots of crafting to turn into Seraphon.

Still, it seems like Rocket Pig (the site) is putting out more and more sculpts/designs, so it's worth keeping on our radar. I think they even have a "Croc Man" in an upcoming line. Looks like a possible Kroxigor.

    Hi everyone.
Sorry for the thread necromancy, but there might be a small update. Rocket Pig Games has out a new Kickstarter for more minis. Specifically, I think the "Rattyl Drake" has potential as a Salamander proxy, for those not pleased with the GW model. And... I wish the "Quillcat" was a lizard.

I have seen several sellers on Etsy offer Rocket Pig miniatures. So, when this is KS is done, maybe some of these will show up? Anyway, check it out if you want.

I’m a fan of the fairy dragon... pop the wings off and you’re good to go... I wouldn’t be surprised if you can take it out before printing them if not a little clip before final cure shouldn’t be too hard... damm it got to get a printer now jk

Hi guys. I found some possible 3D salamander proxies models from Gloomy Kid Minis. The first are the Snapdragon models on their My Mini Factory page, and the other is the Inix lizard found on their Patreon page.

Gloomy Kid also has some potential "cold one" proxies. They are mounts called Crodlu from D&D's Dark Sun game world. I know they're not technically "toothy" dinosaurs, but they still have a cool look, and are actual mount models.

Interesting concepts, those last few would look great as Tallaran rough-riders for a 40K imperial guard army

    I'm baaack.
I just found these Garmr models on etsy.com. They are from Clay Cyanide Miniatures and I think they could make great Razordon proxies. The only small negative is the tails are not really spiked.

They do. But they also look a lot like the ones from Raven Twin miniatures (which look a lot like Woogity's too).

Attempting to go for more of a demonic proportion dragon Army. Future additions will be armored versions of these with your urak-hai style armor and two handed broadswords/axes. There will be smaller dragonkin, but they will follow the same non aztec theme. Woogity is a sculpting god. I don't think anyone could make something on his level :)

By daemonic I mean more the longer arms, and thin chest section similiar to old school japanese daemons. And there will be samurai style armored ones coming soon lol

A similar aesthetic, but I think Woogity's are better proportioned and posed...

No doubting there at all. These are made for my mini game, so not directly meant to be kroxigor stand ins, just an option. Woogity's minis are by far better for that. His skill is top notch, thats beyond doubt.
