… For me, like in WHF my favorite way to play is with loads of Saurus. Same thing in TWW2, I loved playing with big blocks of saurus warriors, and when it came time to finally play Gor-Rok, he not only was a complete beatstick, but perfectly synergized with how I like to play the game.

Definitely my most fun playthrough so far. :D

I like all the legendary lords but as my favorite I have to go with Kroq-Gar, as he is a Saurus which is just more cool than a Skink and he rides a T-Rex and I do like my T-Rex.

    I don't play TWW2, but going estatic I think I'll vote Mazamundi.

Kroq-Gar by far, he's just the coolest Lizardman lord in general. Nakai is close however, but his mechanics sadly just aren't to my tastes much, and mods can only go so far yet. Might change in the future though.

Gotta go Kroq-Gar solely because of Grymloq. I cackle with glee every time I watch him charge into a front line and just decimate it.

I have to go Tiktaq'to for his campaign map tricks. You can get your armies moving soooo quickly that it's nuts!

Nakai has been my favorite to play with so far. However, I have not tried them all yet.

Unfortunately, I've never played Total War: Warhammer :(, so I'll just go with the rule of cool and there is no cooler Lizardmen character than the OG himself, LORD KROAK!

I'm surprised to hear that he isn't a legendary lord. If Kroak isn't a legendary lord, then who is?

    he's a legendary hero.

Nakai's campaign in vortex was the shortest for me, but also the most entertaining. Markus' empire is expansive when you pick Nakai, so planning where to attack is a must. At the same time, you don't really need to defend most of the settlements you take, so expansion is relatively easy. In the end, it all provided for an intriguing experience I haven't had before.

Picked TikTak'to because of sick micro potential on the battlefield with his upgraded Terradons, Rippers, heroes on Terradons @ recruitment, global +10MA and that he screams his name in passion each time when I click him :D. His Vortex spot is very good, his ME spot is meh, but we have KG for that. Also TTT and a group of rippers and you are hard-countering any air unit in the game. My favorite mid game composition with this guy is terradons, rippers, skinks, horned/cold one riders and the carnosaurs.

Already mentioned KroqGar is a strong contender as he is literally the best rush lord of the Lizardmen in vortex campaign solving all of his problems with a button to recruit more Saurus. After few levels your saurus become indestructible and you can do 1v4 stack battles with ease. He has probably the best spot in Vortex campaign and a good spot in ME. Also did I mention I did a Vortex campaign on legendary with 0 unit losses until turn 200, the last ritual?

Mazdamundi was my first try and since it was my first total war game ever I played him on easiest difficulty as well as with tutorial material. He was a very good introduction. I did a few turns on Legendary few years later. Skeggi is a bitch, but rushing them is very rewarding. His Vortex spot is questionable, ME spot meh due to map cut in half. Generally overshadowed by other LLs and Slann of Life if you run a lot of dinosaurs. He has balanced spells, but the campaign feeling is not right.

Nakai was a biggest disappointment for me. Virtually no money during the game, low amount of blessed units, waiting 480239840 turns to get additional unit type, no trading, shitty vassal mechanic, need to launch political UI and cycle through every possible race to beg for money and the fact that every faction declares war on your vassal. I rushed the vortex campaign and won in like 40 turns, but ME is unplayable with this guy. ME is making the things that annoy you in Nakai to the limit: limited amount of friendly races to get money from, snow attrition, even more people declaring war on the vassal because reasons.

Gor-Rok and Tehen are waiting to be played. GR sounds like its possible to do Legendary vortex before Turn 150 due to his rush potential. Tehen sounds like a chore, but also a way to play more Skinks.

I know in Total war they aren't the ideal choice, but I had to go with Tehenahuin. I love the sacrifice mechanic, as underwhelming as it is, and the idea of the war against the skaven being amplified by the mechanic is just too fun for me. I do really like Kroq-Gar as well, but the Red Crests have always been a favorite point of the Lizardman lore for me, so I have to go with the Prophet of Sotek in the end.

Yup; since he is technically "dead" (though we all know the truth ;)) he can spawn into any Lizardmen force if you complete the right missions. If you start with Gor-Rok he begins in your primary force (super OP).

I have been able to do something similar with Gor-Rok. One of the rites makes your saurus unbreakable on top of a few other bonuses... the saurus armies are all but unbeatable when you pop that rite!! But on the whole I feel like Gor-Rok plays more defensively than Kroq-Gar

Wait, were you ever been able to break a Saurus line playing them? I thought they never route :)

I've played all of them, and enjoyed each one. My favorite has to be Kroq-Gar, though. He's pretty much the most "proactive" lord. Right from the beginning he has the ability to go straight into the fight and have a major impact. Also the fact that Saurus cost so much less for him means he can build up an army capable of stomping pretty much every other faction's armies in the early game. This gives him a massive advantage as he's able to expand really quickly and start snowballing early.

All the other lords are still fun, especially Gor-Rok with him getting Lord Kroak from the start :) But Kroq-Gar will always be my favorite.

    Kroq-Gar for me.
It feels like with a tiny bit of support he can basically take out half an army by himself. He is fast, can be used as a battering ram,and break up formations.
There is not much that can stop him.

The Kroq-gar love is a little surprising to me. As far a cool/badass characters he totally makes sense but I found his campaign to be somewhat standard fare.

I just finished up all of them aside from Tehen-whatever and I gotta say Nakai was pretty fun for a horde (which Im usually not super into) due to the predisposition to having Krok heavy armies, but Tiqtak'to was the most interesting regarding mechanics imo.

The focus on teradon riders was pretty unlike any other faction I have tried so far, maybe top 5 for the whole game. I'm a sucker for novel mechanics in strategy based games. It felt refreshing, even in a game with so many unique factions/lords.

I find all the different lords fun. Campaign wise, they all have unique mechanics. Mazdamundi's powerful magic, Tehenahuin's sacrifice mechanics and Skink buffs, Tiktaq'to's aerial superiority, Gor-Rok's supreme defense (and starting with Kroak!) And Nakai's horde army all provide a different and unique experience.

As far as the individual lords though, I think Kroq-Gar takes the lead because he's just so badass in and of himself. Except maybe Nakai, none of the other lords have quite that much of that "one-man army" feel that he does. And while his campaign may not have much in the way of unique gimmicks, being able to field a Saurus army and basically just steamroll everything else around him at a very early stage in the campaign makes him fun to play as.
