Greeting fellow lizards! I've dicovered the lizardmen back in the days of the 5th edition in the late 90's. At this time I was about 11 years old and I loved dinosaurs (to be honest i still do). No wonder I was immediately sold to the idea of dinosaur riding lizards... I never really started to play Warhammer, but I bought those models I liked and could afford. Long years have past since then but recently I decided to start a small hobby project. I'm planning to build a small Seraphon warband for Warcry, using the Blood Bowl Lizardmen as base for my saurus and skinks. Maybe I'll even get into playing finally. I'd like to document the process here on the site to keep up my motivation. Hence I got a question: is it possible to use a Personal Paint Log for this? In the first time there would be only pictures of conversions. Would that be a problem? Cheers!
Welcome back to Lustria! You can absolutely have your own personal paint log, there are already several threads that cover this exact thing. Just look under the Painting & Converting Forum section. You should definitely get back into playing! Reach out and see if there are any groups in your area. I would personally recommend getting back into 8th edition or keep an eye out for TOW (which we are hoping is a decent comeback of 8th edition). Either way, have a good look through the various threads on the forum as there is lots of quality stuff in there. Enjoy!
Thank you all! Then I'll take photos of the 3 models I've already built and start a log for my project. Actually I don't deserve credit for that. It's from Total War Warhammer 2... But yes, it's Lizard-style for a dutch brand of Choclate milk called "Chocomel". @ Mods: I've edited out the Wikipedia Link. I guess that's why the post's awaiting moderation. Sorry for the mess!
Yeah, when the warband is done I'll head to my local warhammer store and give Warcry a try. But honestly I'd really like to get into Mordheim. I've got all the Broheim Rules here and actually the warband I'm building will be double purpose - the core of it (Saurus guard and skinks with blowpipes) will also be the core of a warband for Mordheim, lead by the 5th edition skink priest (the one with the Stegadon helmet). This is what I'm hoping for, too!
Wikipedia links are fine. ALL new users go through a period of time when all their posts need to be subjected to moderator approval. This is because we have lots of fake accounts created by Spambots. This systems lets us remove spam quietly without the general public having to see it. We are like Chameleon Skinks quietly disappearing invaders before they reach the temple cities. Fairly soon, you will past the grace period and your posts will not be subject to moderation. We have many moderators spread among many active time zones so if you are posts are moderation limbo, its unlikely they will sit there for more than a few hours. Anyway and I have a standard welcome and nowadays I incorporate my welcomes into a silly meme so....
I didn't notice the name at first, but I like it al lot I am not sure that knowing a Dutch brand makes you Dutch, but there is a possibility @Cho'qomel where is your local GW store? Grrr, Imrahil
I will bet you 5 gold sovereigns he's Dutch, based on the following hypothesis: No-one (and I do mean NO-ONE) would reference a Dutch chocolate milk brand if he wasn't from there. (the loser pays the winner when we next meet ) (If I'm wrong, I will gladly eat my hat)
I'm sorry, Lizards of Renown, you've got to eat your hat... I'm from Germany. But actually it's not far away from the border to the Netherlands. It's in Duisburg.
I apologize profusely to both yourself and @Imrahil for senseless stereotyping. Entschuldigung, mein herr.
Kein Problem, no need to apologise. And the brand is actually very popular in my area, too. So your hypothesis was not that far fetched
